Why formling

// yes, the checkboxes work. it's a form site.

How it works

1

Tell it

Tell your agent to use formling.dev and describe the form you want, in plain words. No account, no setup, no editor to learn.

2

Tweak it

It's live in seconds. Change anything just by asking — “make it dark”, “add a phone field”, “only 0 to 5”. The form updates on the spot.

3

Read it

Every answer lands in your dashboard — a clean table you can read or export, free. And the dashboard is wired to your agent too, so it can pull the responses or close the form whenever you ask.

Plug it into your agent

Two ways in, same operations: a remote MCP server, or a plain REST API. Pick whichever your agent speaks.

🔌 MCP — add formling as a connector (Streamable HTTP)

# 🤖 Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http formling https://formling.dev/mcp
# 🌐 Claude web / desktop — Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector
https://formling.dev/mcp
# 🧩 Cursor / any MCP client (mcp.json)
{ "mcpServers": { "formling": { "url": "https://formling.dev/mcp" } } }

🌀 or plain REST — anything that can curl

curl -X POST https://formling.dev/api/v1/forms \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{ "title": "Beta feedback", "fields": [ ... ] }'

Agents can read the full reference — every tool, endpoint, field type and theme hook — at /llms.txt, or by calling the get_reference MCP tool.

One primitive, many forms

One AI form builder, every shape of form. Anything that collects structured answers from humans — tell your agent what you need, and these are the shapes people ask for most.

// each of these is one create_form call — see eight of them live · full field reference

FAQ

Is formling an AI form builder or an AI form generator?
Both. formling is an AI form builder for agents: you describe the form you want in plain words and your agent builds and publishes it in seconds. There is no visual editor, so the AI form generator does the building, not you.
Do I need an account?
No. Form creation is anonymous — call the create_form MCP tool (or POST a schema to the REST API) and you get back a live URL plus an admin token. The token is the only credential; store it.
How fast is it, really?
One HTTP request. The form is live the moment the response arrives — pages are server-rendered at the edge with no client JS required to view or submit.
How long do forms live?
Unclaimed forms expire 30 days after creation, then their data is purged 7 days later. Claiming a form into an account makes it permanent. That honesty is the whole business model.
How does my agent read the responses?
Call the get_responses MCP tool (or GET /api/v1/forms/:id/responses) with the admin token — structured JSON rows keyed by field key, or CSV. Humans get a shareable token-gated table view with one-click CSV export.
What does it cost?
Free for individual and team use — creating, sharing, and reading back forms costs nothing (anonymous creation is rate-limited to 20 forms per hour per IP). Paid plans, when they arrive, are aimed at enterprise-scale usage — high volume, SSO, SLAs. Free-by-default is the point: your agent can reach for formling without making you sign up or pay.
